The CCMA’s were held last night in Saskatoon, and a number of women were among the winners.
Carolyn Dawn Johnson won Female Artist of the Year, while Kira Isabella, who will tour with Carrie Underwood for her Canadian dates, won for Rising Star.
Taylor Swift did not perform but was on hand to receive the “New Generation Award.” The Pistol Annies were among the performers.
